Domestic violence is aggressive behavior, typically
involving the violent abuse of a spouse or partner. In the Philippines, it is
dominantly happening within the Household, and this violence is experienced
mostly by women and children. From their partners or Father that executes
physical abuses such as hitting, kicking, slapping, beating, threatening with a
weapon, and other physical harm; also, psychological such as insulting,
instilling fear, and abandonment. The high rates of these issues are happening in
the Urbanized areas, where poverty and inadequate living are extremely
profound. Commonly, the causes of these are lack of employment, alcohol, gambling, and illegal influence. Moreover, these cases were likely to be
unreported due to the cultural understanding that it is a private matter. And
Women are always silent causes they are adopted to pass it over after the
argument. Also, Professionals and Employed worker practices domestic violence
in their homes; taking pride that they are not under an a-woman skirt; Hence, the
woman is subjugated to their spouses and depend on them. But organizations
and laws are created to defend and provide assistance to battered Women and
Children. While other Filipina women live in well economical life and in
support of their husbands and family. They are emancipated from the forms of
domestic violence and the purse holder of the household, and their husband is
the investment.
