Philippines Urbanization Rises

Urbanization in the Philippines have been shaping its economic growth; The rising urban transition within the Philippines is one of the phenomenon’s which has an impact of being both good and bad. Urban transition features a potential to positively impact the Philippines by increasing the economy growth and reducing the poverty but it still gives many challenges on the fellow citizens. Wherein it could cause overpopulation, which successively can cause high unemployment rates. And it increases the probabilities of no basic access to land and health services to urban poor residents of slum areas within the cities. Furthermore, the urban transition may result in lower sustainability because of increasing amount of migrations. The trend of moving to greater city in look for a “better” living condition and “safer” future could cost a city huge amounts of loss. although there are many benefits to probing urban transformation, urban transition should not occur within a rural area or a city because it leads to urban overpopulation which causes lower sustainability
